Tour description
This route is a journey to the origins of Christianity and the spiritual history of Armenia.
The main point of the excursion will be the Echmiadzin Cathedral - the first Christian cathedral in the world, founded in 301. It is the spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church and one of the holiest places in the country.
Next, you will visit the Church of St. Gayane and the Church of St. Ripsime - masterpieces of Armenian architecture of the VII century, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. These temples are associated with the history of the first Christian martyrs and symbolize the power of faith and spirit.
In the middle of the route, a real master class on baking Armenian lavash is waiting for you. You will try to bake pita bread in toner and immediately try it hot - with cheese and fresh herbs. A simple and incredibly tasty part of the tour, which guests remember for a long time.
The end of the tour will be the Zvartnots temple - the majestic ruins of the VII century, a unique monument of early medieval architecture, striking with its forms and harmony.
This tour is ideal for those who want to deeply experience spiritual and cultural Armenia in one day.
