Tour description

This route is a journey through northern Armenia, where nature, history and mountain landscapes are intertwined in one day.

The tour begins with the ascent to the Gutanasar volcano, an ancient extinct volcano located in the Armenian Highlands, near the village of Fantan. Here you will see frozen lava fields, black volcanic sands and unusual landscapes, which are rightfully considered one of the most Instagram places in Armenia.

The slopes of the volcano offer breathtaking panoramas, and the area itself impresses with its pristine, harsh and absolutely clean nature.

Next, Lake Sevan awaits you, a high-mountain pearl of Armenia, one of the largest freshwater lakes in the Caucasus. On the peninsula, you will visit the Sevanavank Monastery (IX century), which offers stunning views of the lake.

In the second part of the route, you will go to Dilijan, a green resort surrounded by dense forests. A walk through Old Dilijan will allow you to feel the atmosphere of the old city with its craft shops and cozy streets.

The continuation of the route will be the Agartsin Monastery, one of the most picturesque monastic complexes in Armenia, hidden among the dense forests of Dilijan. Founded in the X-XIII centuries, it amazes with the harmony of architecture and nature. There is a special silence here, the mountain air fills with tranquility, and the surrounding landscapes create a feeling of complete solitude and peace.

The end of the tour will be the Goshavank Monastery, an outstanding monument of the XII-XIII centuries, associated with the name of Mkhitar Gosh. In the Middle Ages, it was an important educational and cultural center. Today, Goshavank impresses with its atmosphere, elegant khachkars and feeling of completeness of the route, leaving a deep and warm impression of the trip.

This route is ideal for those who love nature and beautiful landscapes, appreciate calm, atmospheric places and want to see Armenia diverse and authentic.

The tour will appeal to travelers who like to take pictures in unusual locations, enjoy mountain views, forests and ancient monasteries.

A great choice for couples, friends and everyone who wants a rich but harmonious day with nature, history and a sense of rest.
