Tour description
This tour is a deep journey through Armenia, where wine, spirituality, ancient knowledge and mountain heights are combined.
Our day begins with a visit to the Voskevaz winery, one of the most authentic wineries in the country. Here, winemaking continues according to traditions that are thousands of years old. You will have a tour of the cellars and tasting of Armenian wines with a story about the culture and meaning of wine in Armenian history.
Next, we are heading to the Teger Monastery of the XIII century - a quiet and almost non-tourist place among the mountains. This monastery is known for its strict architecture and special atmosphere of peace, where time seems to stop.
Immediately after Teger, we will go to the Geruni telescope, one of the most mysterious places in Armenia. The stone complex, which many scientists consider to be the oldest observatory in the world, was used to observe the Sun, Moon and stars. This place makes you take a new look at the knowledge of ancient civilizations and the history of mankind itself.
Then the route continues to the legendary Amberd Fortress - a "fortress in the clouds", located at an altitude of more than 2,300 meters. Here you will learn about the life of Armenian princes and see breathtaking panoramas of mountains and gorges.
We end the tour at the high-mountain lake of Kari, on the slopes of the majestic mountain Aragats - the highest point in Armenia. Crystal clear air, harsh beauty of the mountains and a sense of absolute freedom will be the perfect end of this day.
