Tour description

This tour is a rich journey through different eras of Armenia, where ancient spirituality, medieval trade routes, winemaking and natural beauty are combined in one route.

Our day begins at the Ayravank Monastery, located on the shore of Lake Sevan. This compact monastery complex of the 9th century is known for its special atmosphere of privacy and stunning views of Sevan. It's easy to feel the peace and harmony here, which have attracted pilgrims for centuries.

Next, we go to Noratus, the world's largest Khachkar cemetery. More than a thousand carved stone crosses tell about the faith, fate and skill of medieval Armenian stonemasons. Each khachkar is unique and keeps its own history.

The next stop is the Selim Caravanserai of the XIII century, located on one of the most important sections of the Great Silk Road. Merchants, travelers and caravans once stayed here, overcoming harsh mountain passes. Massive walls and stone halls still convey the spirit of long roads and ancient trade.

After the mountain pass, the route continues to the Vayots Dzor region, where the Arpi winery is waiting for us. Here you will get acquainted with modern Armenian winemaking based on ancient traditions and take part in the tasting of local wines that reflect the character of the region and its sunny climate.

We complete the tour in the Noravank Monastery - one of the most impressive architectural ensembles of Armenia, located among the red rocks of the gorge. This monastery of the XIII century is famous for its unique two-story church and breathtaking landscapes that make the end of the route truly unforgettable.

This tour is suitable for those who want to see different faces of Armenia in one day - from the shores of Sevan to the mountains of Vayots Dzor, from ancient shrines to the taste of Armenian wine
